Founded in 1991, Anesthesia PROfessionals Inc. began as an anesthesia staffing business. From our humble beginnings, APRO has evolved over the years to become a well respected and well known full-service Anesthesia Group Practice with accounts and clients across the country. We now provide a full range of anesthesia services to hospitals, surgical centers, ophthalmic centers, endoscopy centers and office practices. APRO is known for making things happen, flexibility and above all outstanding communication and customer service.

1950-2006
Rita L. LeBlanc founded Anesthesia PROfessionals in 1991 as a group practice where CRNAs could be proud of their profession. Rita was a visionary and advocate for all nurse anesthetists. She served a term from 1995-97 as AANA Region 1 Director, and was on numerous AANA committees throughout the years. Rita also served as President and chaired the Government Relations and Public Relations Committees for the Rhode Island Association of Nurse Anesthetists.
In 2006, the AANA Foundation established the Rita L. LeBlanc Philanthropist of the Year Award and presented it to Rita posthumously for her tremendous lifetime contributions to the profession of Nurse Anesthesia. Always willing to give, she was well known and respected as a mentor and leader with a passion for teamwork and doing things the right way. Guided by her example and spirit, APRO continues to blaze a trail for all to follow.
